TAC Osteopathy in Coolaroo and Epping

The first 90 days

According to the TAC, within the first 90 days after your accident it can help pay for osteopathy without prior approval, as long as you have a TAC claim number, the treatment is for your accident injuries and it has been recommended by your doctor or another health professional. You do not need to contact the TAC before your first appointment in this period.

After 90 days, or after a break in treatment

TAC approval is needed before further osteopathy can be funded if it is close to or more than 90 days since your accident and more treatment has not already been approved, or if it has been more than six months since the TAC last paid for any treatment or service for you. Your osteopath can request approval from the TAC through a treatment plan, so let us know early if you are approaching either of these points.

What to bring

Please bring your claim number so we can confirm billing arrangements before your appointment, along with anything that helps your osteopath understand your injuries.

• TAC claim number
• Date of your accident
• Your TAC claims manager's details, if you have them
• Any scans, hospital discharge information or reports
• Details of other treatment you are receiving for your accident injuries

Care is tailored to your injuries and to the activities that matter to you, such as driving, work, sport or looking after family.

• A detailed history and physical assessment
• Hands-on treatment where appropriate
• Exercise rehabilitation, progressed over time
• Advice on managing daily activities and work tasks
• Communication with your GP and the TAC, with your consent

TAC appointments are available with Dr Elie Mokbel, osteopath, at our Coolaroo clinic and with Dr Matt Tancevski, osteopath, at our Epping clinic inside Atomic Gym, which has on-site parking and is a short distance from Epping station.
