TuneUp Osteopathy
Exercise rehabilitation may be used to support recovery, build capacity, improve movement confidence and assist with return to work, training or daily activity.
Plans are tailored to your presentation, goals, available equipment, training background and day-to-day demands.
Your osteopath may recommend simple home-based exercises, gym-based progressions or a mix of both depending on what is suitable.
Exercise rehabilitation is not only for athletes. It is often part of care for people with a wide range of goals.
Your osteopath will go through each exercise with you, check how it feels and set a starting point you can manage. The aim is a plan you can realistically fit into your week, not a long list you will not get to.
At follow-up appointments your osteopath reviews how you responded and adjusts the plan, for example the load, the number of sets and repetitions, or the exercises themselves. As your capacity improves, the focus shifts towards the specific tasks, sport or work you are returning to, and towards a plan you can continue on your own.
